At Lighthouse Ministries, we serve so that every man, woman, and child can experience God’s peace, life purpose, and fulfill of potential.
In 2024, we served 8,688! All programs are intentionally missional, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ while meeting physical, emotional, and other needs. Our four Pathways of Progress—spiritual growth, education, industry (work), and community—guide each resident’s journey.
🌟 Our Programs
Gospel Rescue Mission for men: Hot meals, warm showers, clean clothing, worship, and safe beds.
Life Learning Campus: For men, women, pregnant moms, and moms with children—housing and a full circle of care, including case management, licensed counseling, education, workforce training, life-skills classes, and Bible study. Young children attend our accredited preschool; older children enjoy local schools and after-school support.
Homeless-Intervention Chaplain: Meets homeless people where they are—offering resources, medical referrals, and housing placement.
Family Thrift Stores (4 locations): Social enterprises that create jobs for residents, offer affordable shopping, repurpose donations, and serve as HOPE Centers—distributing grocery boxes, clothing, and household items.
Kids Clubs (4 sites in Lakeland): Neighborhood-based programs with meals, Bible stories, tutoring, and safe, supervised play.
🍽️ Essential Relief & Growing Opportunities
Hunger Relief: In 2024, we served 160,952 meals across West Central Florida. Rising need in 2025 has already led to three new meal sites in Lakeland.
Next Steps Housing (2025): For those moving from homelessness to independence, we celebrate:
5 new apartments on Tennessee Avenue
Expanded residential recovery housing on our main campus
Case management & employment services at Plateau Village (36 units)
These spaces provide housing and healing—helping neighbors live independently while encountering Christ.
