Volunteers In Action

Volunteering is a ministry. Whether it involves working in the kitchen, at the front desk, sorting clothes at the thrift shoppe, giving someone a haircut, or handing out food boxes, volunteering provides many opportunities to share the love of Christ and help those in need. Please download an application or call 863-687-4076 to learn more about volunteering with Lighthouse Ministries! Once completed, the applications can be mailed to 215 E. Magnolia St., Lakeland, FL. 33801.

“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.” I Peter 4:9-10

Minors under 18 years of age must send in the Parental Consent Form with their application. Parental permission is required to be considered.

Minors under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent when volunteering.

Alex Fagan

Volunteers

From an early age, Alex (now nine-years-old) has always been by his mother's side helping prepare birthday cakes for family members. There was no end to his creativity in terms of cake decorating.

Alex began donating toys to the children at Lighthouse Ministries about six years ago, and he was thrilled one day when he saw a child actually riding his bike that he had decided to donate. Two years ago, Alex decided he wanted to start baking cakes for the kids in our program.

This is a perfect example, according to Alex of "showing the love of Jesus and to spread that love and joy to others." Read more on Alex in our Annual Report.
